Our Mission

We help kids learn by inventing.

WildCoders turns screen time into real problem-solving. Kids invent their way down the Trail with Koda, their safe AI coach — growing into curious, confident thinkers in an AI-powered world.

Welcome to the Wilderness

Your kid heads down the Trail, one invention at a time.

Every obstacle on the Trail is a puzzle with no single right answer. A grumpy stone troll on the bridge. A lonely wisp who won't stop following. Your kid dreams up an invention to get past each one — and Koda decides if it would really work.

Every invention they try is saved in their Codex. They come back tomorrow because there's a new obstacle to outsmart — and more to show you.

The moment they pull you over to show you what they made — that's what we're building toward.

Meet Koda

Koda is your kid's guide in the Wilderness.

She's not a textbook. She's not ChatGPT. She's a coach — built on the principles that great human teachers use to actually move kids long-term.

PILLAR 01
Asks. Doesn't tell.
Great coaches talk less and ask more. Koda guides with questions, so your child learns to think — not copy.
PILLAR 02
Believes in your kid.
High expectations, paired with real support. She treats every kid like they're capable of more — because they are.
PILLAR 03
Celebrates the effort.
Especially when something didn't work the first time. The win that matters is the try — that's where resilience is built.
PILLAR 04
Meets your kid where they are.
Every kid learns differently. Koda stays one step ahead — close enough to reach, far enough to stretch.
No code, just imagination

Your kid says it in their own words. Koda makes the world react.

AI is going to be everywhere in your kid's lifetime. The kids who grow up directing AI — not just consuming it — will be the ones who thrive. Every invention your kid dreams up with Koda is rehearsal for that future.

And every idea they try is saved — their Codex becomes a growing trophy shelf of everything they've invented.

🎵
They invent
A tiny flute that hums a sleepy lullaby
😴
What happens
The stone troll dozes off — they tiptoe across the bridge
🔦
They invent
A glowing firefly friend to keep her company
What happens
The lonely wisp drifts after it instead — the path opens
👃
They invent
A smell from the giant's childhood forest
💭
What happens
The forgetful giant remembers, and lumbers home
🌽
They invent
Enough seed for all three crows at once
🐦
What happens
The squabbling crows share, and fly off together
Today they're outsmarting a stone troll. Five years from now, they'll be directing AI to build the things their generation needs. The muscle starts here. Every obstacle is trickier than the last — and so are their ideas.
Why WildCoders

Not just another AI study app.

Most AI tutors were built for college students cramming for exams. We built Koda for the kids who are still figuring out how to think.

Other AI tutors

  • Built for high schoolers and college students
  • Hand kids the answer through whiteboard lessons
  • Optimize for grades and test scores
  • A faceless tool with no values
  • Same experience for a 9-year-old or a 19-year-old

WildCoders + Koda

  • A Trail of puzzles your kid actually wants to come back to
  • A coach who grows with your kid as AI grows up around them
  • Designed specifically for kids ages 8–13
  • Asks coaching questions so kids learn to think
  • Every invention saved in a Codex they love to show off
  • Every input filtered. Every conversation visible to parents.
How it works

Walk the Trail. Invent. Level up.

Built so kids want to come back tomorrow — and the day after that.

01

Step onto the Trail.

Your kid picks a traveler, and Koda walks them to the first obstacle on the path.

No homework feel. Just a world to explore.
02

Invent a way past.

A stuck troll, a lonely wisp — your kid dreams up an invention in plain words. Koda decides if it works, and coaches them when it doesn't.

This is where screen time becomes thinking time.
03

Collect, level up, forge.

Every invention is saved in their Codex. They level up, unlock the Forge, and you get a Learning Map of what they practiced.

Zero guesswork. Real progress.
See Koda in action

A real moment, mid-session.

This is what every Koda interaction looks like. She doesn't hand over the answer — she hands back the question.

Koda
Online — ready to learn
Hey Sam — the stone troll is still parked on the bridge. Any ideas for getting him to move?
Maybe a really loud horn?
Ooh — let's think it through: would a loud horn make a grumpy troll leave, or dig in harder? What does he actually want?

Notice what didn't happen: Koda didn't hand Sam the answer. She handed back the question — because that's where the real thinking lives.

Where we're headed

Our vision: helping schools teach kids to learn with AI.

Families are just the beginning. Our bigger vision is to help change how kids learn with AI — woven right into schooling and curriculum, built hand in hand with schools and teachers.

We're not there yet. It's a direction we're aiming for — and one of the reasons we're starting with families today, learning what works so we can bring it to classrooms next.

Safety is the foundation

Built by parents, for parents.

Ungoverned AI lets kids drift into mischief and skips the values that should be at the center of how they grow up. Koda is different — every input is filtered, every output is age-appropriate, and the whole experience is built around what should happen, not just what's allowed.

  • 🛡️
Every input is filtered. Kids can't accidentally — or intentionally — get into territory we'd never allow.
  • 🚫
No ads. No data sales. Ever. Your child is the user, not the product. We're funded by subscriptions, not surveillance.
  • 📖
You can read every conversation. Full session reports go to parents. Nothing hidden, nothing private from you.
  • 🐯
Koda has values. Always kind. Never personal. Always teaching. She's an AI built with character, on purpose.

Questions

Things parents ask us.

Is this safe for my kid?
Yes — and we take that seriously. Every input from your child is filtered before reaching the AI. Every response is governed by Koda's coaching values. There are no ads, no data sales, and you can read every conversation. We built this for our own kids first.
What ages is this for?
WildCoders is designed for kids ages 8 to 13. Koda meets them where they are — whether they're brand new to coding or already building. The platform stays one step ahead, growing with your child.
How is Koda different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is a general-purpose tool built for adults. Koda is a kid-safe coach built around clear learning principles — designed for ages 8-13, governed by four coaching pillars, and focused on helping kids learn to think rather than handing them answers. The difference is the difference between dependency and capability.
Can Koda help with school subjects?
Right now, WildCoders builds the skills underneath every subject — creative problem-solving, persistence, and thinking in steps. Over time, Koda will grow into a broader learning companion for schoolwork and life.
Does my kid need to know how to code?
No. Koda guides them through everything. Kids describe what they want to invent in plain words, and Koda walks them through the thinking. Real coding concepts come later — once curiosity is already lit.
Can I see what my kid is doing?
Yes. After every chapter, you get a Learning Map report showing what your child invented, the questions Koda asked, and where they're heading next. Full transparency — that's the deal.
Do you work with schools?
Not yet — but it's where we're headed. Our vision is to help schools teach kids to learn with AI, woven right into the school day. It's a direction we're building toward, not a service we offer today. If you're a school or teacher who'd love to help shape that, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
What if my kid doesn't like it?
Try the free first chapter before you subscribe — your kid can meet Koda and beat the Stone Troll before you pay a cent. After that, cancel anytime: no contracts, no hassle.
